Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 July 2026
Your trust matters to us. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with and the rights you have. It applies to aboutyourlove.website and to About Your Love Websites’ services.
1. Who we are (Data Controller)
About Your Love Websites (“About Your Love”, “we”).
Privacy contact: aboutyourlove@aboutyourlove.website.
2. What we collect and why
We only collect what we need, with a legal basis for each purpose:
- •Quote/contact requests — name, email, wedding date and message, to reply and prepare your proposal (pre-contractual steps).
- •Purchases — payment is processed by Stripe; we receive the confirmation and the billing details we need (contract performance). We never store card data.
- •RSVP and Guestbook on couples’ sites — name and, where applicable, attendance, party size, accommodation, dietary needs and message. This data is for the couple hosting the event (see section 4).
- •Newsletter / free resources — email, to send the resource and communications you opt in to (consent).
- •Interactive planner — your data stays on your device (browser local storage); if you use code sync, it is encrypted in our storage (see section 5).
- •Usage data — anonymous browsing statistics to improve the site, only after your consent (see section 7).
3. How long we keep it
We keep data only as long as needed: commercial contacts up to 24 months after the last contact; contractual and billing data for the applicable legal periods; RSVP data up to 12 months after the wedding date, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
4. Couples’ sites (we act as processor)
When a couple collects RSVP replies or messages on their website, the couple decides the purposes — they are the data controller. About Your Love acts as a processor, handling that data only to provide the service and on the couple’s instructions.
5. Who we share with (processors)
We use trusted providers, only as needed:
- •Vercel — website hosting, storage and analytics.
- •Stripe — payment processing.
- •Zoho Mail / Resend — transactional email (replies, RSVP, receipts).
- •We do not sell personal data, nor use it for third-party advertising.
6. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g. the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses).
7. Cookies and analytics
The site uses a minimum of cookies/storage essential to its operation (e.g. your language preference and the admin session).
Browsing analytics (Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights) load only after you accept the cookie notice. You can decline without losing access to any feature, and change your choice by clearing the site data in your browser.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- •Access, rectify and erase your data;
- •Restrict or object to processing;
- •Data portability;
- •Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing);
- •Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Portugal, the CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).
To exercise any right, email aboutyourlove@aboutyourlove.website. We reply within the legal deadline (usually up to 30 days).
9. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and encryption of planner data stored in the cloud. No system is 100% infallible, but we treat your data with the care it deserves.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with the last-updated date at the top.
